  The story of ASICS begins in Kobe in 1949 with just two employees, a small amount of capital, and the strong aspiration of founder Kihachiro Onitsuka to support the physical and mental development of young people through sports.
  The desire embodied in our founding philosophy, “A Sound Mind In A Sound Body”—that people around the world should be able to live healthy and happy lives both physically and mentally—remains at the heart of everything we do, even today as ASICS has grown into a global enterprise.

  Under our Mid-Term Plan 2026, which began in 2024, our business performance has remained strong, with our financial targets expected to be achieved one year ahead of schedule.
  At the same time, our efforts have not been limited to short-term performance. Enhancements in brand value, corporate governance, and our investor relations activities have been recognized by third-party organizations. We have also seen steady progress in non-financial areas, including the strengthening of human capital management through initiatives such as our profit-sharing program.

  This year marks the final year of the Mid-Term Plan 2026. While we continue to advance our transformation into a Global Integrated Enterprise, we recognize that initiatives such as further global growth, enhancing brand experience value centered on OneASICS, and achieving operational excellence are still works in progress. Under a diverse management team, we will remain fully focused and committed through the final year of the plan, delivering better products and experiences consistently to people around the world through a range of initiatives, including expanding our global R&D footprint, strengthening the running ecosystem, and leveraging the Onitsuka Innovative Factory.

  The ASICS Foundation, established in 2025, has begun full-scale operations this year, providing grants to organizations that support young people, people with disabilities, women, and others facing social or economic challenges through exercise and sports. While we have traditionally contributed to people’s physical and mental well-being primarily through our products and services, we will go further by reaching those who wish to be active but lack access to opportunities, working toward a society in which everyone can experience the value of sports.

  Going forward, ASICS will continue to be a partner in shaping the future together with athletes and sports lovers, people around the world who seek comfort and physical and mental well-being in their daily lives, and all stakeholders connected to ASICS.
  As a global company born in Japan, we will continue to challenge ourselves in pursuit of the next stage of growth, striving to help realize a society in which healthy minds and bodies and a healthy global environment are sustained for generations to come.
