ASICS' targets and initiatives
Targets
- Absolute GHG emissions reduction rate in direction operations (scope 1&2): 63% by 2030 (2015 baseline).
- Absolute GHG emissions reduction rate from purchased goods and services and end-of-life treatment of sold products (scope 3) : 42% by 2030 (2022 baseline) *.
- Electricity percentage from renewable sources in own operations: 100% by 2030.
* To reflect more accurate emission data, we revised our calculation methodology, updated the base year to 2022, and recalibrated our target accordingly. The target remains aligned with a 1.5°C target level.
* ASICS GHG emissions reduction targets towards 2030 are validated by The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Further information is available in our SBTi Validation Statement and the SBTi Target Dashboard.
* The target was set as of July 31, 2026.
Action plan onward
- Continue to develop the 2030 roadmap toward achieving net zero emissions.
- Continue to expand the use of electricity from renewable sources, focusing first on the facilities with higher emissions.
- Establish a data management process that leverages supplier data.
- Continue the CO₂ labeling of ASICS’ products.
Our net-zero 2050 target
We support ongoing global efforts to limit average temperature increases to 1.5 degrees above pre-industrial levels and aim for a collective net-zero world by 2050.
Managing the environmental impacts of manufacturing
Material sourcing and manufacturing processes account for more than 80% of GHG emissions across the ASICS value chain. Through collaboration with supply chain partners, we are working to measure, manage and reduce these emissions.
Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Management
ASICS is working to measure and reduce GHG emissions across its value chain, including its own operations and supply chain.
Transparency on the impact of our products
Our carbon footprint labeling reflects our commitment to transparency around our GHG emissions. Understanding impact is the first step towards making better choices.
