ASICS releases 2024 Sustainability Report

[June 30, 2025 – KOBE, JAPAN] ASICS today released its 2024 Sustainability Report, outlining the company’s progress toward its medium- and long-term sustainability targets. Integrated into its VISION2030 and the Mid-Term Plan 2026, ASICS’ sustainability framework is built around two core pillars — “People” and “Planet”— which guide sustainability actions in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
A headline achievement for 2024 is the introduction of the NIMBUS MIRAI™ running shoes designed for easy disassembly and recycling. Demonstrating its continued commitment to climate action, ASICS was also named to CDP’s Climate ‘A List’ for the first time.
Key Highlights from ASICS’ Sustainability Report 2024:
People
・ Launched the “Move Her Mind Hub”, a dedicated platform encouraging women to share stories and experiences related to sports and exercise, helping them connect with others and stay motivated.
・ Conducted the “Desk Break Experiment”, a global study exploring the relationship between desk-based work and mental health.
・ Provided USD 1,025,764 in community support and donated sports equipment throughout the year.
・ All regions have created action plans to support women's career advancement as part of gender equality, with women holding 39.5%*¹ of management positions globally.
・ Launched the global employee engagement survey achieving a record-high score of 73, and all regions created action plants to create a rewarding workplace for employees in order to achieve “Sound Mind, Sound Body.”
Planet
・ Achieved a 43.1% reduction in CO₂ emissions from our direct operations compared to 2015 .
・ Reached a 36.8% renewable electricity used in our business facilities.
・ Increased the usage of recycled polyester materials to over 50%.
・ 100% of our strategic Tier 1 footwear suppliers have concrete plans for renewable energy sourcing.
・ Introduced the NIMBUS MIRAI™ running shoes, made to be returned, A global take-back program for the product has also been launched.
・ Engaged 95,950 participants in the Run for Reforestation Challenge, where each 5km run or walk contributed to planting one tree.
