ASICS is pleased to announce that it has received the Excellence Award at the Nikkei Integrated Report Award 2024, hosted by Nikkei Inc. This marks the first time ASICS has been recognized in this award program.
Renamed in 2021, The Nikkei Integrated Report Award was originally established in 1998 as the “Nikkei Annual Report Award” to promote and enhance the quality of annual reports issued by Japanese companies. Active fund managers and analysts evaluate the applicant companies’ annual and integrated reports based on multiple criteria and select outstanding reports.
ASICS has been publishing its Integrated Report since 2020 (previously called “ANNUAL REPORT” until 2019) as a key communication tool for stakeholders. The report aims to systematically convey ASICS’ vision, value-creation efforts for sustainable growth, and both financial and non-financial information in an easy-to-understand manner, alongside business strategies.
In The Integrated Report 2023, the challenges and weaknesses of the ASICS are also addressed by the new management team in their own words, explaining how the company plans to overcome them.
ASICS was selected for the Excellence Award based on several key aspects:
- The messages from the CEO and COO clearly express not only ASICS’ past growth but also their strong commitment to transitioning into the next growth stage.
- The report effectively outlines ASICS’ strengths in management resources (such as human capital and digital transformation initiatives) based on its long-term vision, while presenting a clear global expansion strategy.
- It features well-developed sections with messages from key internal figures and dialogues with external stakeholders.
