Empowering the next generation through sport
We help our consumers and communities to improve their mental and physical health.

In the communities in which we operate and beyond, we support young people by partnering with non-profit organizations Right To Play. We are involved with several programs, such as ensuring young people in disaster-stricken areas have the opportunity to play sports.
‘Sound Mind, Sound Body’ is a philosophy for all people, regardless of their age. We believe in
the importance of health and well-being for children. We also acknowledge the power of sport for empowering people and making positive changes to their lives. ASICS is involved in a number of projects focused on supporting young people through sport.
Community Engagement Guideline
ASICS promotes youth development through sports, in line with our Community Engagement guidelines and our founder’s belief in ‘Sound Mind, Sound Body.’ We aim to
create lasting social impact and business value through community initiatives.
Children's Rights in Sports Principles
"As the first corporate supporter, we resonate with the aims of the "Children's Rights in Sports Principles" announced by UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund) and the Japan Committee for UNICEF in 2018, and are participating as a supporting company."

State of Mind
Mental and physical well-being is our most material topic, reflecting its importance to our stakeholders. We want to inspire people to move their bodies and benefit from the mental boost sports and exercise can bring. To do this, we work with experts to build a scientific understanding of the connection between mind and body that is our founding philosophy.

Right To Play Empowering youth through sports
Since the start of our partnership, more than 170,000 children and adolescents participated in Right To Play programs through ASICS’ support in various countries such as Lebanon and more recently East African countries.
The organization Right To Play is a leader in using the power of sport and play to help the world’s most marginalized children to become more emotionally resilient.

Supporting Mental Health and Communities Through Sport
ASICS Oceania partnered with the Indigenous Marathon Foundation (IMF), a health promotion charity that aims to improve the health, well-being, quality of life, and physical literacy of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through running and walking. This partnership not only embodies ASICS' core values, but also helps to create lasting positive change by promoting inclusion, health, and self-determination in Indigenous communities.
Additionally, in 2024, ASICS Oceania partners with the Goanna Academy (GA), which focuses on empowering young Indigenous Australians through sport, education, and cultural development. Founded by Greg Inglis, a former Australian Rugby League athlete and long-time ASICS ambassador, the GA offers programs designed to help end the stigma surrounding mental health and improve social capacity to identify, talk about, and manage mental health for all Australians in particular at-risk groups. As part of the ASICS Desk Break campaign, we donated $5 for every challenge completion, which went towards GA’s
workplace programs, run in partnership with Headspace.

ASICS Tomorrow Project – Japan
The ASICS Tomorrow Project aims to support communities in disaster-stricken areas of Eastern Japan. The earthquake and tsunami that occurred in 2011 have resulted in ongoing reconstruction efforts in the Tohoku area. Local children have had limited access to sports and places to play. We help local children get involved in sports events hosted by athletes and coaches and provide them with sporting goods. Since 2011, there have been four programs involving 60,000 participants in total.

ONE FUTURE PROJECT
ASICS Japan started a new community activity "ONE FUTURE PROJECT". One of the programs is for children to learn about recycling and diversity while playing the parasport "Eco-Boccia". The game helps children learn about sport while moving their bodies.
The name ‘ONE FUTURE’ represents the aim to respect every child and build them a bright future. ASICS will continue to offer children opportunities for discovery and self-reliance through sports.
