ASICS Learning & Development Program for Core members

Our founder, Kihachiro Onitsuka, focused on the development of people based on the belief that “A company is its people”. ASICS Learning & Development Programs are designed to continue this spirit and tradition in order to “cultivate a culture of growth and development” throughout the company. ASICS strongly supports career development of employees through a structured framework that provides results by learning from business experience and growing every day.

Career Development Support

Career Discussions

ASICS has introduced “career discussions” aimed at increasing the speed of growth by raising each employee’s awareness of their own career. It is an opportunity to draw on the employee’s own career vision and goals, discuss the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to achieve it with their manager, then plan the actions to be taken in the future.

Career Design

Our company offers employees opportunities to review their career with a view to plan their future career within a structured program at various turning points in their career.

Mentor Program

ASICS has implemented a mentoring system for new employees to openly communicate with a mentor about long-term career development and various topics including those outside of work also.
Our company offers training programs to employees assigned as mentors for two purposes: firstly to improve the growth of new employees and secondly to support their progress as mentors themselves.

Business skills and Knowledge

ASICS provides many courses on a diverse range of topics that employees can take at their manager’s recommendation or at their own request also. By thinking about their own career goals, taking these programs to develop and utilizing it in their job, employees will be one step closer to what they want to be.

Newly Promoted Training Program

New Employees Training Program

For new employees, our company offers programs at the ASICS Institute of Sports Science where accommodation is located to acquire foundational business etiquette, skills, and knowledge needed to work as an employee of ASICS.

Our company also conducts a Sports Marketing program for various sports events supported by ASICS, as well as on-site training at our own factory

Newly Promoted Training Program

ASICS conducts Newly Promoted Training program as an opportunity to both learn the skills required for the post-promotion position and to create a network among newly promoted employees.

Aimed at developing “employees who can think and act by themselves”, the retail training framework has been created to provide a range of programs to learn the necessary skills and knowledge to be successful.
